Bicester Garrison Padel

Bicester Garrison has two indoor padel courts within an existing gym facility at its headquarters at St George’s Barracks in Arncott. This is a restricted military sports venue for eligible serving personnel and their families, not a civilian drop-in club. The courts were installed in June 2025 and form part of the garrison’s recreation provision. The Army has subsequently reported both courts in operation.

The project brings padel into a setting already used for physical training and recovery after injury, while also supporting shared recreation for the military community. Two Super Panoramic courts were supplied for the installation. Funding came through an Army Central Fund grant and a partnership of military charities and sports organisations; a subscription-based plan supports maintenance and future replacement. Access depends on garrison eligibility and local arrangements. Visitors should not treat the barracks address as an unrestricted public entrance.
